Take charge of your career by building on your undergraduate degree. You will develop your professional skills and prepare for professional practice at a senior level.

The course covers research, development and practice in advanced engineering design. Using the most advanced CAD packages, you will learn the techniques to analyse and test your designs. And then move onto full design implementation.

Our teaching staff have exceptional knowledge and expertise in their fields. They include world-leaders in research on sustainable engineering, materials and joining technology. Teaching is centred around our state-of-the-art laboratories in a purpose-designed engineering building.

Specific entry requirements

You should normally hold a first degree equivalent to at least a British lower second-class bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline. Applicants with relevant professional experience will also be considered.
